Over 15 volunteers from Weymouth RFC took positive action on Saturday, 31 October 2009 as part of CSV Make a Difference Day, the UK’s single biggest day of volunteering.
The grassroots volunteers from Weymouth RFC took a group of young players and their siblings to PGL in Hinehead, Surrey for the weekend.
The volunteers made it possible for the children to enjoy a weekend packed with fun activities including abseiling, zip wire, shooting, archery, powerfan, assault course and giant swing.
Chris Davis, Volunteer co-ordinator, Weymouth RFC, said "We want to give a big 'Thank You' to all our volunteers not just for what they have done over this great weekend, but what they do week in week out".
Mark Wildman was presented with an RFU volunteer award for his hard work at the club, notably organising 'RFU Prop Idol' - an initiative to recruit and develop more front row players.

All the volunteers received CSV Make a Difference Day certificates: Sally Watts, Jason & Karen Weston, Hywel Jeffcott, Sally Chittick, Kiz Bell, Mark Wildman, Stuart & Lara Barnes, Andy Stallman, Jenny Lawlor, Denise Davis, Kate Berry & Steve Hunter.
