Under 9's (1) v Lychett (6)

Scorer: Aidan Fryer

The Weymouth team sadly only mustered 7 players but Lychett chipped in 2 players to make a game.

They started with great strength but with neither team moving off the scoreboard for quite a while.  Though sadly Lychett finally made the first break leaving 3 - 0 at half time to Lychett.

Eventually Weymouth finally made the break when Aidan Fryer burst through with the gusto of a roaring supermarine Spitfire to put Weymouth on the score sheet. The Weymouth boys at times played some great rugby, once again some tough tackles from Ben Roberts.

But disappointingly Weymouth struggled to break through Lychetts very strong defence, leaving the final score at 6 - 1 to Lychett.

Weymouth could only manage to take 3 under 10's over to Lychett, who were very kind and let our 3 join in with the Lychett training session and games.

Wimborne : 5   Weymouth : 2

Scorers : Tai Thomas-Day 1 Jessica Berry 1

Report : Wimborne took the lead to start but Tai made a crafty blind side break from the first srum to start Weymouth on the score board. Scores on the doors at half time were 2 all, but Wimborne proved too strong in the end relying on better team work to defeat Weymouth.

Report: Weymouth opened up the game with a great break again from Tai, to start Weymouth on the score board. Towards the end Weymouth rallied together to put up a strong counter attack and almost took the lead but sadly once again were beaten by what seemed to be a physically stronger side. There seemed to be no shame in their defeat as they all worked hard against a bigger pool of players at the Wimborne club.

Under 9's (13) v Blandford (4)

Both teams approached their very first game of contact rugby rather gingerly to start with, although Weymouth led with tries scored right from the very first minutes of the game. Confidences grew in both teams as the match went on, with some great performances from Scott Stallman and Sam Reid.  Although man of the match must go to Ben Roberts for his amazing try scoring and tackling of equal measure . That said a good show from Weymouth one team not just the stars!!

Under 10's v Blandford

Weymouth's limited number of players joined forces with Blandford's under 10's and were able to play their first match of the season with two Weymouth Players on each team. All the players got stuck in and enjoyed their first game with contested scrums and lineouts. The teams were well ballanced and most of the tries were scored from breakaway runs, but there was some very good supporting play.
