Weymouth 19 v Sherborne 38

This was the first match of the season for the Weymouth U13 side.   Due to the late scheduling of the match 5 players were unavailable, despite this Weymouth fielded a strong combination of 10 players and 1 good sport from Sherborne.  In the first half Weymouth moved ahead with a comprehensive lead of 19 - 5, playing against 11 in a well established Sherborne side, with Lewis Taylor going over first and Antony House powering through adding 2 further tries both converted by Connor Aitken.   In the second half Sherborne fielded 12 against Weymouth 10 and were able  to use the two extra men to make 5 tries and 4 conversions.  Weymouth nearly scored again, and all kept battling with strong runs and tackles from Rhodri Tanner.   The coaches were proud of the team effort and spirit.
